A cosy sim with unexpected teeth. Orbital Bloom is generous, gorgeous, and occasionally far sadder than its pastel skies suggest.

Orbital Bloom asks very little of you for the first ten hours, and then asks something quite large.

The seasonal loop is the best in the genre since the classics, largely because it refuses to punish you for missing a day.

Pros

  • Combat that rewards patience over reflexes
  • Exceptional art direction and lighting
  • Locked performance across all modes

Cons

  • Sparse late-game map variety
  • Menu UI buries key information
