NBA 2K27 shows its first gameplay trailer
A week after its announcement, 2K is back with a closer look at motion, contact animations and a rebuilt defensive AI.

Announced last week, NBA 2K27 has returned with its first gameplay trailer and a longer look at what has actually changed under the hood.
The headline is defence. 2K claims a rewritten help-defence system that reads driving lanes rather than snapping to scripted rotations, plus contact animations that blend rather than cut — historically the ugliest part of the series in slow motion.
The rest of the trailer is presentation: new broadcast packages, revised lighting in arenas, and a crowd system with far more individual reactions. What it does not show is anything about MyTeam economy, which is the part of the game most players will actually be arguing about by October.
A full feature breakdown is promised for next month ahead of launch.
