Suit Up. The World is Your Playground. Creativity, strategy, and precision are your tools, and every decision shapes the story you choose to tell.

Returning to Hitman: World of Assassination after a few years was like putting on a tailored suit: comfortable, stylish, and lethal. The experience remains just as engaging as I remembered, with the same creative freedom and meticulous attention to detail that make every mission uniquely satisfying.

A Playground of Assassination

The variety of ways to execute each hit is astonishing. From elaborate disguises to carefully orchestrated “accidents,” the game encourages experimentation and rewards creativity. Each environment is a meticulously crafted playground, full of multiple approaches, hidden secrets, and subtle nuances that make replaying levels endlessly rewarding.

Whether you’re sneaking through a crowded market or staging a dramatic take-down in a lavish mansion, the sense of agency is unmatched. It’s a game that allows you to feel both clever and dangerous simultaneously.

Stunning Locations and Atmosphere

Graphically, the game is superb. From the vibrant streets of Sapienza to the opulent corridors of Paris, each location is visually stunning. The soundtrack perfectly complements the atmosphere, with themes that linger long after you’ve set down the controller. Every mission feels like stepping into a living diorama, where every detail has purpose and style.

Level Design at Its Finest

The level design in Hitman is nothing short of exceptional. Each map is an intricate web of possibilities, where even small decisions can dramatically alter outcomes. The gameplay feels practically infinite, especially with modes like Freelancer offering fresh ways to approach each assassination. The depth of systems and emergent gameplay ensures that no two runs feel the same.

Minor Hiccups

Of course, the game isn’t flawless. Certain elements, such as NPC AI, occasionally behave inconsistently, breaking immersion for brief moments. Additionally, the learning curve can be steep for newcomers, demanding patience and dedication to master the mechanics fully. But these are minor flaws in an otherwise exemplary experience.

The Verdict

Hitman: World of Assassination is a masterclass in freedom, creativity, and challenge. Despite small imperfections, it’s a game that rewards patience, ingenuity, and strategic thinking, offering countless hours of gameplay that remain as satisfying on repeat as they were on first play.
